Stand up for fairness, join a rally near you

Governor Rauner is on a mission to strip working people of the right to have a voice on the job. He wants to weaken unions and he's holding the state budget hostage to try to get his way, no matter the harm the budget impasse is causing.

The rights of all working people are at risk, no matter where they work. But state government employees are on the frontlines in this battle, because they negotiate directly with the governor for their union contract.

That's why AFSCME members are coming together for regional Rallies for Fairness throughout Illinois during the week of December 5 through 10. Whether we work for a state agency or university with a direct stake in a fair contract settlement, a local government or state-funded private agency that depends on a fair budget, or we simply believe it's time for Governor Rauner to drop his extreme demands, release his hostages and move Illinois forward, we're all coming together to demand fairness and tell the governor that enough is enough.

See below for the rally near you and make plans to attend with your co-workers, family and friends!
